When picking up a 10 pin most people stand very far to the right or the center and it falls in the gutter. Why does it fall in the gutter ? Aren't you supposed to stand to the right if the pin is on the right side of the lane ? The answer to that is because you don't get enough angle to shoot the spare. The proper way to shoot the 10 pin is to move to the far left side of the approach and throw it between the fifth and middle arrow. But what if your ball is hooking early and you miss the 10 pin left ? The way you can fix this problem is to use the least aggressive ball in your arsenal (use a plastic ball if you have one) and break your wrist back so it will go straight at the pin with no hook.
